CIOFF USA takes pride in being a vital member of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts, which celebrates the rich array of cultures and heritages that enhance our global family.
Our mission as a national section of the United States is to unite people from all backgrounds, cultures, and creeds to foster appreciation for cultural traditions' distinct humanity and strengthen community connections.

CIOFF® INTERNATIONAL
CIOFF - International Council of Organizations for Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts
CIOFF is an international cultural non-governmental organization (NGO) that has formal consultative relations with UNESCO as an associate partner.
Founded in 1970, CIOFF continues to work to safeguard and disseminate traditional culture and folk arts, including identification, documentation, research, preservation, protection, enhancement, and transmission of intangible heritage.

CIOFF objectives :
Promote intangible heritage through such forms of expressions as dance, music, games, rituals, customs, and other arts;

Serve the objectives of UNESCO;

Support the activities of its members and those of non-governmental organizations and all other institutions working in the field of cultural heritage;

Serve the cause of peace through the above objectives.
CIOFF membership (National Sections) represents more than 75 countries. It gathers over 300 international festivals worldwide and promotes the exchange of nearly 100,000 amateur artists.
